I learn Arabic because I crave connection with my Creator, it really is as simple as that. Sadly, feeling that way is not always enough to actually motivate me to learn.
I learnt a few incredibly helpful concepts that have changed my understanding of how to truly live freely by looking into my interpersonal relationships, so it certainly lives up to the title.
I’ve wanted to quit what I’m doing in life many times because of the actions and attitudes of others. Like everyone, I’ve been disappointed and lacked the support I needed. People don’t appreciate how much effort you’re putting in. It’s thankless work and you feel like no one cares about you.
Having a vision has made my work (or should I say my ikigai!) a lot clearer and easier as I can now be guided by my values rather than the stress of keeping up with trends, the pressure to be “cool” and “fashionable” or grow the business quickly that is common in the retail industry.

There is no way you can lose when you worship Allah, you only ever win, and that makes me feel indestructible in situations where otherwise I’d be crumbling into pieces.
